Shopping Ads Campaign of the Year
Our client wanted to focus on growing the business by increasing revenue whilst increasing ROAS at the same time. They sell new and refurbished products from brands such as AEG, Asda, Braun, Delonghi, Dixons Carphone Warehouse, Electrolux, George Foreman, Hoover, Kenwood, Remington and Russell Hobbs. Therefore, we wanted to focus on all these products which was perfect for a Performance Max campaign.
We wanted to reach users who are looking to purchase household appliances. We did this by targeting homeowners, remarketing site visitors/engagement packs from GA, and people in the market for consumer electronics, vacuums, washers/dryers, and home appliances.
To increase the client’s revenue and ROAS, we built out a Performance Max campaign within our Google Ads account, these show ads across Google’s platforms; YouTube, Gmail, Search, Display, and Discover. We made sure to segment the asset groups into top-performing products, to boost performance. By using the Performance Max campaign, it used machine learning models to optimize bids and placements to drive conversions to find the target audience at the right time. We overlayed audience signals onto the campaign to enhance performance, which was ‘All Visitors’ – this allows us to inform the algorithm about who our ideal target audience is.
In terms of implementation for this campaign, we linked our shopping feed with the campaign to pull through the relevant products and we also added relevant ad copy/headlines/descriptions, images, logos, and videos to the campaign to push the products in a visual way.
Since launching this campaign over the last 3 months
- we have increased media spend by 55% resulting in 46% more revenue for the client.
- We have also managed to exceed the client’s ROAS target by 30%.
The client is hugely impressed with our work, and they are extremely happy with the current level of performance which is exceeding his internal targets within the business.
